Saffron Indian Restaurant - MODBURY

During a recent visit to Adelaide we stopped at Saffron on the recommendation of friends for an evening meal, we were not disappointed ! The presentation and quality of our meal was a delight for the pallet and the eyes. A welcome as if we were old friends, excellent service and a dinning experience that was second to none. This is my new favourite place to go and I recommend it to everyone who enjoys Indian food with a slight twist.

My wife and I enjoyed an impromptu dinner at Saffron, choosing their "Banquet for 2". The banquet comprised a shared appetiser, followed by a tasty entrée dish for each (one chicken, one vegetarian ... but this was our choice). We were each able to choose a main course from their a-la-carte menu (we selected Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Vindaloo). Finished with a Gulab Jamun (dumpling soaked in Cardamon Syrup) each for desert. Accompanied our meals with a nice glass of wine from their sufficiently diverse list. Each of our courses was nicely prepared and presented. The restaurant itself is well decorated in an Indian style, and is very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Prices were reasonable and, overall, our dining experience represented good value for money. Well worth a visit.

This is a favourite of ours. The food is flavoursome and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Wine list is a bit limited but what they have is good and again, reasonably priced. We have eaten here several times and it has always been great.

My favourite dish is chicken tiki masala. It was edible,but, far from an authentic chicken tiki masala. Very dissappointed.

Good portions and great flavour. Good value for money. Always find the restaurant consistant and Phillip the owner is always keen to please with a great family atmosphere.
