Concetta - Modesto

Love the Sharing concept. The food was excellent and delicious. So many decisions! The staff was very attentive.

Decent food but small plates. My challenge with Concetta is I feel like I have to order lots of plates to get enough food... Especially if you're sharing plates with others.

Went there on a Thursday evening.. not busy. Waited 25 min to get our drink order taken. Then waited 25 min to get our meal order taken. Ordered the Flank steak.. it was raw in the middle and barely warm on the outside. Not even caramelized or seared. We ate outside and it was getting dark so I couldn?t tell how horrible this was before I tried to eat it.. the beans and rice that came with it was at least a day or two old as well. When the server came back eventually I showed her the raw meat on my plate and I told her exactly what the problem was and to let the chef know. She took my plate and then came back with the check.. with my meal still on there.. needless to say we won?t be back.

Unique food selection. If an item on the menu does not look familiar, ask! Not open all day. Select hours. Friendly, cozy setting. Do try!

While downtown we decided to bike to Concetta's. This was our first time here for lunch and were the only ones eating outside. Of course it was hot, but this is Modesto. I ate half my quesadilla before I remembered to take a picture. It was shrimp and chorizo with just the right amount of spiciness. My husband had a sausage and grilled vegetable sandwich. We both enjoyed the lunch. When we eat here at dinner, we usually order several and share. We'll be back.
