Monmouth Kwik Shop

I have been living in Monmouth for many years. I remember when this place was operated by a family. When a new owner took over, I was hesitant and years later my reservations are still the same. I appreciate the convenience of this small town having the only gas station in a reasonable distance. However, it seems that this is now their main focus rather than providing good customer service. The employees and even the owners do not welcome customers or engage in conversation. I no longer choose to dine here as I feel I can get better value elsewhere.

The food at this restaurant is excellent! My only complaint is that they strongly discourage any substitutions or additions. If you try to add jalapeños or request something not included in certain items, you may be met with resistance as they assume it was not asked for originally. They do not allow orders to be customized beyond the menu descriptions, even if you are willing to pay for any extra costs. However, the food is still great and the service is friendly. Note: I found out from a Facebook post that they do not offer jalapeños or tomatoes on sandwiches and wraps, unlike other locations in the city.

The customer began to enjoy the food at the restaurant. They went to order a chicken Caesar wrap with various toppings, but the owner refused to accommodate their request. The customer asked for salad, pickles, and black olives as toppings, but was told they could only have certain options. Feeling frustrated, the customer decided to leave. As they were leaving, they accidentally ran over a bump in the parking lot with their tires.

Super nice staff extremely helpful. Every time I’ve gone in there they’ve been attentive, friendly, and prompt. Food is good and so is the service! Nicest people around.
