Backyard Solé East - MONTAUK

I truly love visiting Backyard whenever we are in Montauk. It has a very laid-back atmosphere and is a fantastic place for outdoor dining. During the day, you can enjoy the pool and some cocktails, making it a perfect way to spend a day away from the beach if you're looking for a change of pace.

This charming restaurant is located just behind the Sole East resort. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, immersed in lush greenery, creating a delightful atmosphere. Although the menu is limited, the dishes are expertly prepared and delicious. There’s also a cozy bar offering cocktails and beer.

Incredible food! If you're a fan of eggplant, you have to try the pasta à la Norma. The grilled octopus appetizer was also outstanding! And the creamy polenta side dish was absolutely delicious! We've dined here before and will definitely come back again!

Such a surprisingly excellent meal! Everything was so fresh and fantastic. The grilled tuna with polenta was truly phenomenal but we loved all of our dishes and the cocktails the service was wonderful. Highly recommend

I wish I had read all the reviews before coming. It pretends to be a high end Montauk restaurant but the food quality is not good. For example, the clam chowder was watered down with few clams, the fluke crudo was tasteless, the hummus on theMediterranean plate was terrible, the jalapeño in the cocktail had no kick. This chef needs to step up his game if he wants tocompete at this price point in the Hamptons.
