Playa Bowls - Montclair

I decided to give them another chance since I have always received great service and only had issues with the bowl that one time. I always order the Nutella Acai Bowl without coconut flakes and sometimes without strawberries, and usually, there are no problems – the bowl is filled as usual, and the service is better. In June 2023, I noticed that the store had closed on delivery apps, listing all items on Uber Eats as unavailable. Despite this, we were able to order in person. I understand turning off delivery apps during peak times, but the employees in the back were just sitting on their phones, seemingly unconcerned. They also made us feel unwelcome with their rudeness. I love Playa Bowls, but not enough to tolerate disrespect and question if I am getting my money's worth.

The service was fast, but when I received my order it appeared haphazardly put together. Upon opening it, I found that my açaí was melted and had to eat it like a soup. I was quite disappointed.

This is one of my favorite dishes! The Maple Brown Sugar Steel Cut Oatmeal with Pineapples and Blueberries is delicious.

This is my go to. I love love love playa bowls and recently moved close by and the smell inside, the music, the atmosphere, everything is just a vibe! 10/10

I ordered a smoothie and the fridge made it hard to drink out of the straw. Instead I used a spoon kinda like a Wendy’s frostie. And MAN that was good. If they came out with a frosty option for smoothies id get them everyday. It’s almost like icecream.
