Subway - Montclair

Great local subway. Staff is kind, efficient, and thorough. They didn’t have one of the items on my order and they gave me a very generous substitution. Store is clean and the sandwiches always come out great.

Omg ew stay away from this place. I work at the hospital 5 minutes away and on my break this was the only place close enough to get food from. I ordered online. By the time I picked up and came back to work with my food I realized they basically gave me a cold burrito when I asked for a grilled chicken wrap. I paid extra for slicked avocado the whole thing was smothered in guacamole and I HATE mushy smashed avocado so of course I had to throw out the entire order in the trash. No one told me when I was picking up that they did that. If they did I would’ve ordered something else while i was still there.

Yesterday (Friday, 5/26/23) around 2pm my wife and I stopped by the Subway Restaurant on Claremont Ave, Montclair,NJ to order two one foot long subs for $12.99 for both using a store discount coupon that we received by mail from Subway. Before we place the order we showed the coupon to the person at the cash register that appeared to be the store manager. She appeared to be of Indian descent in her 30's. She told us that the store did not accept any type of coupons and refused to look at it even though it was a legitimate Subway coupon that I cut out from many that were mail to me. The coupon had a code number and an expiration date of 6/25/2023. I told her that it was then false advertisement she did not cared. So we left the store. She was very rude and refused to look at the coupon.we won't but anymore subway. Hello Jersey Mike's!!

Shaq is an amazing staff member!! He was super knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. When a certain type of cheese we liked was out of stock, he guided us to a similar cheese and it made our sub so much better. ask for Shaq!

This subway location is just the best! I enjoy the gentleman that work there and love how they don’t skimp on the fillings for the sandwiches- I think they make them just they way they would want to eat them. Thanks for always making a good sub.
