Mahona Bed Breakfast - Monte Plata

Wonderful boutique hotel! every detail is taken care of with a lot of taste. I absolutely loved my stay there, and I fully recommend. Beautiful, clean, functional room and great, tasty breakfast. Super staff! The garden is a charm!

Thank you so much for a fantastic stay in your boutique hotel. This place is the ultimate home away from home. Mahona is a small hotel consisting of a few bungalows surrounded by a small pool and beautifu scenery of green plants, palm trees and a hammock. The owners are a lovely French couple, Beatrice and Daniel, Which has a great sense of aesthetics and service, as they show great hospitality by welcoming you and make you feel warm. We stayed here for 7 nights. The breakfast is highly recommended as it is truly French with homemade croissants, jam, a fresh bowl of fruit, great coffee, fresh juice and not to mention the french toast. You will not leave the breakfast table hungry for sure! I experienced the staff as very helpful, as I got a small ear infection, and they went to the pharmacy for us, guided us to a good doctor and at one point were all in our room dripping my eardrops. To finish off our stay, they invited us to rent an ATV, for a very good price, and drove through the jungle in the mountains, one the beach and back to the hotel. It was a full day trip where we bought local coffee, honey and coco, ate lunch at a local restaurant and had a great swim at a hidden beach. Great room, close to beach. Tasty and fillling breakfast. From Punta Cana it is bit long road, take only highway, other roads are bad. From S. Domingo road is ok, but would recomend driwing in day only.

Beatiful place, extremally clean. 1 minute walking from the beach. Excellent breakfasts and really nice staff. The owners are great people very helpful and professional. Comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

I loved Mahona, very cozy and classy place. Great location, quiet but in 5 minutes walk to the beachfront, the parties and the restaurants.
