I don't care how a place looks. That's not on my list of attributes when I choose a restaurant.Where I come from we call THE IDK a Greasy Spoon. That's a small, no frills place where the locals go. Usually it has good food, cooked the way you order it, and reasonably priced. With friendly and courteous employees.IDK certainly has the curious and friendly attributes covered and smothered. The meal is an egg of a different color.I ordered 2 fried eggs over easy with bacon, hashbrowns, a biscuit, coffee and water, no ice.The biscuit was homemade and really good. The water was bottled (I wondered why). It was good also. The coffee was thin, weak, and tasted of chickory. I didn't expect Starbucks, but I do like my coffee strong and tasting like real coffee. The eggs (remember I ordered over easy). One was over hard and the other was over well. They were also covered in bacon grease. I don't mind the grease unless it's dripping. They were. The meal cost $8. On the Specials Board the cost was $5.25. I'll give the waitress the benefit of the doubt. The cost could have been increased, by the coffee and water. However, water should be included. All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 I give the IDK a 3.No oncore.Tom L. Alden, MA
Chicken and dumplings good, cornbread needs little sugar. Price good
Great food, warm friendly environment. Cook loves to socialize with the customers and sometimes sings while cooking...LOL
Best breakfast ever. Loved the biscuits. Took some to go so we could eat them later. Very Friendly staff. Don't pass it by.
