Contribuisci feedbackThe first time I was a student was in 1996, and I’m finally going to graduate in 2025. The Anna Irving dining hall is much more light and airy now than it was then. It was all dark wood panel. I was amazed at the quality of food and I actually look forward to eating there again.
The food quality has gone down. Understaffed, hired a person who SAd people, has no options for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free people. Water machines are always down, coffee machines are always down, ice cream machine never works. Sometimes only one option a day of food. Times are so weird and if you live on campus and have no car, say goodbye to eating breakfast on the weekends! Also, they close at 2 for 2.5 hours. Along with other reasons, of course, the caf is one of my main reasons I want to transfer.
The Montevallo cafeteria needs to improve their menu. They should always have pizza, burgers and ice cream available.
Great variety of food and the dinners are beautiful.
I was surprised at the nice selection of entrees and vegetables. Favorites such as chicken fingers, fries, and pizza were also available. Everything was seasoned well and had good flavor. There was a fresh fruit and salad bar that was of high quality. A few different dessert options were also available, so I sampled the peach cobbler parfait and oatmeal raisin cookies. Both were very tasty. There was a large selection of fountain drinks and juices. Everything was modern and clean and very comfortable. It was the best dining hall food I've ever had and was better than most buffets and cafeterias I've been too. UM students are fortunate to have such a great dining hall. I would go back in a minute.
