Very lovely, quiet, reserved place, good attention to the customer. good and well-kept food. excellent potatoes pure, and the tira de asado
Wine bottle was hot as hell (they don't have a cellar, they say, so they should keep it better stored at least. Steak came well done (asked medium rare) and with no salt at all... this place shouldn't have that high reputation i guess.
We visited this place yesterday for dinner and unfortunately we were disappointed. My steak ordered as medium rare arrived at the table almost well done. When asking the waitress for replacement, she took my plate to the kitchen to get (I guess?? the chefs opinion. After returning she offered me a fresh steak. We waited and then the second try came to our table. Unfortunately a disappointment again: the steak was cut too thin, the meat was really dry, some parts of the meat were really tough and the degree of doneness was disappointing again (a little bit better tho, but still not medium rare. The meat was simply too thin for that! . When the waitress cleared the table she did not even ask, if I liked the food or not. When we asked for the check her ONLY question was if she should add the tip on the card or if we wanna tip her in cash. I would nor recommend this place, the service was not really great (she seemed quite bugged all time and the food was very disappointing too. Very unfortunately that our last evening in Montevideo had to be that way.
The restaurant offers a fantastic ambiance along with delicious food and excellent service.
