Steve, who makes some of the wines, is more than willing to assist you in selecting the perfect one. The restaurant is located in an old bank building with a vault still intact, and Steve is eager to share the fascinating history of the bank, including a notorious bank robbery from the early 1900s. In addition to the wine selection, there is a wine club with various membership options. On Wednesday nights, they offer wine and dinner pairings, but reservations are necessary. I am looking forward to returning to this restaurant again soon!
I visited this restaurant one night without any high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! The bone-in wings were delicious and packed with flavor. Even my picky two-year-old enjoyed his kids' meal, which is a big win in my book. If you're in the mood for great wings, definitely give them a try!
This restaurant review is a difficult one for me. It is a local establishment that I am passionate about supporting, and it is located in a charming area of Montgomery that we enjoy visiting. In my opinion, based on my three experiences there, they may need to reassess their employees. It seems like it could be a family-run business, but the younger members of the family may not be focused on maintaining a high standard of service. I could be mistaken, so I recommend giving this place a chance. The wings are decent, although I found them to be on the smaller side. It is important to note that my experiences occurred during the challenges of the pandemic, so my review may have been impacted by timing.
I've been meaning to try this restaurant ever since it opened a year ago, and I did tonight! Boy have I been missing out! The wings were a really good size, priced to compete with local chain competitors, I'd definitely choose Wings Over Montgomery again over any of them! The atmosphere was fun, family oriented, and hosted a solid Christian environment with worship music playing inside and out, with Bibles available on the interior. But also offering beer! Mostly outdoor seating, with the offerings of some very common Texan outdoor games. They serve Pepsi products which is ok, but definitely worth it for the value you get with the food! 10/10 recommend Wings Over Montgomery.
Dropped in today for a Saturday lunch, right when they opened at 11am! Treated with my girlfriend and her little brother. I'm a huge wing fan bone in all day. Now I do really like the Christian theme and the music. The place is very clean and we sat inside. TV was playing sports and by the restroom on a table was this game with rings and hooks and those table fans to keep pesky flies away. I thought personally the wing quality was really good. So I can understand the price (it is a bit on the expensive side) the fries the shape is different than usual fries and delicious nonetheless especially with ranch. The boneless wings are honestly just well regular boneless wings the sauce mild Buffalo is pretty tasty. So overall, 4 stars because it's a bit pricy so I'm guessing just getting the wings is your way to go. I love the area it's in. I think being the first ones there and sitting inside you get a lot of attention from the staff which can be overwhelming especially if you're me and you drop your bone in wing 80% the way through cause you're a hot mess. Anyways, hope to be back and try another sauce!
