I ordered the Teriyaki chicken, which came with sautéed chicken, broccoli, and carrots in a flavorful sauce, along with a side of fried rice. I also added an extra side of white rice and four spring rolls (make sure to savor those!). I used the drive-thru, and my food was neatly packed in a bag that included multiple packs of soy sauce, duck sauce, forks, and fortune cookies. I'm really glad I chose to eat here! A big thank you to the staff at Fumiyoshi for an excellent dinner.
Loved the sharp crab roll. Order 2 because for less than $5 I thought they were only 4 pieces. They were 8 pieces. So 16 pieces. For 9.75. The guy who works the window seems a little unfriendly, but he's not. It's just his personality. He even smiled to give me my order. I can't go wrong here. Health inspection was in the car-duration window and was a little lower then area restaurants, but back in my day (80s) health inspectors actually their jobs and nobody had over 96.
Very quick service, did not even have to wait the full 5 minutes I was told at the window after ordering. The hibachi steak was very flavorful and very tender, the plastic fork given cut through it like it was liquid. The rice was amazing and the vegetables cooked perfectly. The best drive through for any Asian food I have seen.
This is the best Fumiyoshi around. Normally, we eat at one closer to home but were in Morganton today and decided to go there to pick up lunch. The carrots were the perfect sweetness, not overly sugary or overly spiced, and weren't slopping in filled to the brim sticky juice that always seems to leak from those styrofoam containers. The Chicken Fried Rice was cut into perfect bite size chunks and not big stringy hunks you usually get from other Fumiyoshis around here. Overall, more pleasant to eat. These little attentions to details are much appreciated and indicate whoever cooked the food actually cares about making it right. Oh, and... they don't water down their shrimp sauce!
I had the teriyaki chicken plate, which was really flavorful, and the egg rolls were delicious. However, the cheese sticks were overcooked and quite difficult to eat. It's been about a year since I last dined here, but overall, the food was very good.
