The cafe, which is shaped like a ship has undergone some much needed interior refurbishment, when the new tenants, a young couple, took over the lease this year. We have heard some good things about the cafe, so yesterday, we checked it out at lunchtime, while visiting our boat, which was docked in the harbor. It was in the middle of the school holiday, so the place was filled with guests. Fortunately, we were able to get a table with a good view of the marina. The menu included Danish fast food dishes such as deep fried/grilled chicken with pommes frites, fried fish fillets, danish hot dogs, Danish open sandwiches, baguettes and the dish of the day, which is served from Monday to Thursday. I opted for the grilled chicken and my husband for the fried fish fillets. The chicken was tasty and juicy. The fried fish was edible but do not expect fresh fish from the fjords. All in all, a nice place to enjoy the views of the Sillerslev Harbor. At long last, there is some place where visitors and locals alike can go and chill out in the marina, something which has been missing for some time. There are also tables outside, where guests can sit on a sunny day and enjoy ice cream and drinks, which can be bought in the cafe. While we were there, a Dutch couple, who came in with their yacht, had lunch there. The Cafe will make the Sillerslev Harbour more attractive for boat owners to dock. There are also shower and restroom facilities connected with the cafe. Good luck to the new owners and may your initiative pay off in the end.
Nice and cozy eatery at Mors, we once had the dish of the day, which was tenderloin with cream potatoes and salad. The food was really good and tasted homemade. We felt very welcome, all in all a lovely experience!
Cosy little small-boat harbor with a place to buy ice cream and take a swim in the child friendly beach with bottom of sand and slow rising water. There are even real palm trees in the summer
Nice little port. Wide beach. Small cafe. Worth seeing.
