Unfortunately, the calamari lacked the lemon or pepper flavor I was expecting, and the texture was a bit tough, leading me to believe it was perhaps frozen and not fresh. The chicken carving was thin and dry, and while the chips were tasty, there were only a few on the plate. The salad was decent, but overall, I felt that the $22 I paid for the meal was a bit steep for the quality. Despite filling me up, I was disappointed with the lackluster food. The restaurant staff was friendly and the motel itself was comfortable, albeit a bit dated. I would recommend some improvements to the entrance as well, as I had to use a towel to block a gap under the door. Overall, I may stay at the motel again (if my company pays), but I would not dine in the restaurant. It seems like the chef may have lost interest in their work.
We made a reservation a few hours before arriving and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Despite the older units, they were very clean and pleasantly scented. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. Although the service was a bit slow, we didn't mind as the experience was definitely worth the wait.
We were 2 nights in the cedar lodge and had dinner in the restaurant. I had a lamb frame that was fantastic. I have also heard other diners who compliment the staff on their meal. good price, and good choice of net.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times. I often travel and enjoy staying in this charming, peaceful countryside town. The locals are very welcoming. This restaurant has everything you need - fast internet, delicious breakfast, and tasty dinner options. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Relaxed friendly atmosphere.... good food and reasonably priced. Would happily return Mixture of locals and travelers and felt comfortable dining alone
