Hammer Down is a cozy little tavern restaurant. If you 're looking to get away from the city this is the place for you. The menu variety is super the food is tasty. They have homemade pizza which is really good worth the drive just for this alone! Live music occasionally; just check website first before you go. They 're near ATV trails too! Parking: Plenty of parking in their lot covered handicap ramp. We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way home from the steam show in Edgar. We wanted to try somewhere new. We ordered sodas and a shrimp basket and the popcorn chicken with fresh fries. Everything was super greasy! The chicken was a very cheaply processed nugget. The servers were very friendly but I would never stop here for food again. The curds were good.

Very good fish fry and great burgers. Great portions and cheap.
