Sphinx Rock Cafe - MOUNT BURRELL

We have travelled all around and always stop here when in the area. It is the best food and coffee to be found anywhere. Friday night is the best place for a great dinner.

A group of 8 of us ate here on Friday night. Lovely setting in the garden (with surprisingly few mozzies etc) and the food was great. I had the tempura barramundi burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken korma also looked yummy and many in our group had the barramundi salad which looked fresh and healthy. Desserts were also quickly devoured.

I love this place. Everything on the menu is tasty and fresh! I've eaten there a heap of times and can't recommend it enough.

Mum, my hubby and I were returning from a trip up to Blackbutt Lookout in the Border Ranges one Saturday recently, and decided to stop at the Sphinx Rock Cafe for lunch. Amazing tasting and quality food...brilliant, friendly service...all at very reasonable prices. There's a great area set aside for kids to play in, lots of grass for them to burn off some energy, and you can eat outside or under-roof. We highly recommend them...we'll be back the next time we're in the area. :)

Lovely old style country cafe with live music on sunday, serving interesting food well done. I had a lovely beef burger with real beef not one of those awful frozen patties. The only criticism would be that they need to get their chips a bit crispier (if I want soggy want I go to Mc Donald) and get themselves better mayonnaise - beside that sensational and great coffee to boot.
