SO yum. And the deserts! Super friendly staff. And the forever changing views. Signal Station Café is a must trip when in Hobart.
The scones with jam and cream were to die for, they were so lovely and huge I struggled to at mine and shared with my son also was too full for inner that night
Commanding views are enjoyed from this cafe. I saw the scones on the way in and had to try those. Long rectacular instead of the usual, but the shape doesn 't matter when they taste that good They are covid conscience with good protocols.
Excellent location for coffee and scones, arguably the best scones in Hobart served with cream and raspberry jam. However, avoid peak meal times on weekends, staff is sometimes overwhelmed by the number of people and things can get slow. Always friendly though. Prime panoramic views over Hobart and SE TAS.
We stumbled upon the Station Cafe by accident today whilst looking for good views of the bay. We decided to escape the light rain and try our luck and boy were we glad we did! Having already downed several coffees throughout the day we went for Chai Lattes to have with our afternoon tea. We ordered the Cheese Platter which was honestly one of the best we have ever had, really putting a spotlight on the local cheese. To follow up we ordered some scones, these came out extremely fresh(still had steam escape when cut open) and were perfectly complemented with the house man jam and cream. Can certainly recommend visiting for an overall pleasant experience.
