Keep in mind, we has a reservation, we were the only people in line, and several staff members saw us standing there and did not acknowledge us. After being seated, we waited again. Once we were finally waited on in the empty restaurant, the service wasn't terrible, but not high quality either. Prices were what was expected but food was cooked about the quality of a meal I would cook at home. I am an ok cook, but nothing to get excited about. Waiter didn't bring steak knives with steak dinner. He said we wouldn't be needing them as the fillet was always tender. We ended up needing those steak knives. Wine was excellent. No ambiance whatsoever. This was New Years Eve and our Wedding Anniversary. We made the best of it and shrugged off the issues, ate and left immediately. No lingering over a great meal. Will not go back.
Waiter was RUDE. Food way over cooked and cost $150 for 2 people. One could tell the restaurant did not care about their patrons. Should be minus stars
We were the only table in the place. The staff had to “dig” Out the menu from a cabinet. Some food was 5 stars and other plates were inedible. The prices were insane for the experience we endured.
I have considered phoning the venue about my/our experience. I am not sure however what could possibly be done to amend for how the evening transpired. Our server was extremely friendly. No complaints about her, only that she was absent MOST, if not ALL OF THE NIGHT. She was consumed with the responsibility of every single table in the restaurant. Not her fault. I did see a manager running food at one point, but he made it clear he was not doing any more than that when we asked for water and spoons. Instead, we had to wait for her. Each of us had pasta. It was over-boiled in every dish, and breaking into mush when I tried to twirl it onto my fork. Hence the request for spoons. Never have I eaten pasta with just a spoon. For $20-ish something per order, the charcuterie was no more than cheese and crackers and salami. When it was placed on the table, I heard an audible gasp from one of my guests. But the biggest issue of the evening was the check. I asked to have a copy of the itemized bill, however was told that was the copy I needed to sign and it stayed with the merchant. I signed it, but why could a duplicate not be re-printed for me to keep for my records? Our evening was shy of $400 for 3 people for bad food, bad service, and expensive cocktails. I live, as do my guests, in Mount Pleasant. We are locals. I cannot recommend.
Great meal and conveniently in our hotel. Inga was our server and she was wonderful !
