Siso - Mount Wellington

Beautiful meal here, nothing to fault, all our dishes was amazing. We got the spinach pie (delicate fill stuffed with spinach and feta) with a walnut brown butter, market fish crudo (light and some spicy sauce so watch out), octopus (my fav dish, chargrilled yet so tender and the capers were perfect complement), lamb meatball and grilled aubergine (decent flavours), Spanish fris chicken, nduja butter romesco hung yoghurt (not what I expected but blown away at how big and juicy it is). Finished the meal with the choc ricotta cannoli with dulce choc, salted caramel and ice cream which wasn't even listed on the menu. I tried their Remuera Spritz which at first was sour but it was refreshing and appetising to start the meal with. Easy unintrusive service, high ceiling and bookshelves gives a cozy home feel. Toilet apparently was quite faraway but I didn't go.

Unplanned encounter due to the closure of next-door Indian restaurant on Mondays. A pretty decent drink list which includes 4 Pinot Noir choices, pasta was good, but the highlight goes to the beautiful pudding, especially for a cold evening. Very likely to return here.

What a great night with amazing tasting food!! Each dish was a mouth adventure with flavors that all went together so well, and kept you looking for more. Compliments to the chef on the menu!! We tried 4 starters and 4 mains and they all were perfect!! The atmosphere was alive, the service was friendly and prompt. I will be going back again and again for sure!.

I went there to have a dinner for my birthday and it is the best and right decision , the environment is really cozy and nice , good service and the food is superb

Love the food experience. Reasonable prices. Wide variety to choose from. Pizzas to pasta to breads to desserts . To steak. End of story
