(we have ordered 2.) the thun fish was served in a humble dish that looked like a servier plate, it was strange. cocktails tasted differently every time, although it was the same drink. I order a second drink while I eat. never came through dessert until midnight. our escapes were warm. Nothing was hot. the food tasted good, except it was not hot. overall, quite disappointing. we are probably not going to dinner again. may there be another attempt to lunch. it may have been a bad night for them (shortly personalized safe), but if they pay $ 180 for a meal for 2 I expect clean service and warm eating.
Are you looking for great service, southern-friendly people, amazing signature drinks, and great food? Then don’t miss the opportunity to eat at Evelyn’s. From fried okra to the civitas cocktail (voted best cocktail in Birmingham). And their super quaint patio is a must foe dinner this time of year.
We went to the restaurant last night and were excited to give it another try. Unfortunately, we did not have a reservation so we were seated at a small table in the kitchen, even though there were nicer tables available. It took a while for someone to come to our table, but once they did, the service was quick. We ordered the brussels sprouts, which were brought out promptly. My partner's burger was overcooked, but it came out so quickly that I was surprised it wasn't raw. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, but the dressing did not seem to be homemade. We also ordered a bottle of wine, but ended up taking half of it home because our food came out so fast that we finished within 30-40 minutes. Our bill ended up being over $150. Overall, we were not impressed and do not plan on returning, despite its convenient location near our house.
I highly recommend the blackened chicken Caesar salad at this restaurant. I absolutely love the food and the excellent service!
I am very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We went for lunch and my husband ordered the burger. What he received on his plate was a few flat, pre-made patties sandwiched between two rolls with cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, and onions, along with a side of frozen french fries. The burger was okay, but my husband received a much larger portion of salad compared to mine, which was only about 1/3 of the size. I had ordered a vegetarian option for myself, and I have to admit that it was not up to my expectations.
