The beer selection isn’t huge, but the choices are all very good. Margaritas were tasty. Everything is very reasonably priced and about as inexpensive as it gets for happy hour on Castro street. I’ve never seen this place super crowded. It’s a new restaurant and the staff is definitely still figuring a few things out but they were all very nice and attentive and the service was fast. Atmosphere is pretty laid back; modern and sharp, but not fancy.
Ordered appetizers at 9pm Katsu, Grilled Pork Shrimp Spring Rolls and Brussels Sprouts. I’m not a sprout kinda guy, but they were delicious, served with shaved Parmesan. Server David answered questions re: food and asked Chris whisky questions for me. I had a “ri (brand of rye) and a great whisky discussion with Bartender Chris. David and Chris were Friendly, Informative, and tolerated my verbosity.
Amazing drinks and bartenders! Great collection of Bourbons and Japanese whisky. The small plates are inventive in their flavors and are all delicious, the salads are really large. Very friendly staff. Clean venue all around. Slick modern decor, the only negative is it can get loud because of high ceilings. Very competitive pricing on Castro. We love going there!
Great drinks with knowledgeable bartenders. Started off with a arugula beet salad which had a great sauce. Had the chicken tarragon with asparagus next which was great flavors. The chicken was rubbery though which ruined the dish in a way. Had some good tater tots to snack on to end while having another drink.
Really liked this place. Go between 4-6pm for their happy hour for $5 cocktails and beer and cheaper plates to share. We tried their wings and chops and friend Mac n cheese and they were pretty good! Their $5 Moscow Mule is pretty awesome.
