I am not familiar with Bavarian traditions, but I was taken twice into this restaurant and I enjoyed the ambiente and the hearty eating. it is always packed and it looks like the movie from another century. I guess we had luck, the service was fast., the food delicious, and we paid about 20 euro per, for a pork bone with a deposit tray and a prise lagershandy. I would be back for the scavenger (the tasty looked out) and the sausage and sourded. only cash.

Ordered an salat as an appetizer and a suppe and imperial. suppe and salat came together, and after an hour we left. imperial fool never came and server did not care.

First evening was great beer delivered quickly then two dishes of different but good, regional food (sausages, potato purée and sauerkraut and cold fish with sauce and potatoes) came together with good red German wine. Staff busy but friendly. Next evening, not so great....Only 2 of 5 staff had turned up and the place was heaving. One dish came (very good calve’s liver) but the grilled peppers stuff with sheep’s cheese and with salad plus sautéed potatoes came 45 minutes later. The main waitress was adorable and we felt sorry for her, but if we’d not been before we would not have been able to recommend it on the basis of this night. So, staffing rota/reserve staff needs to be sorted! Average cost very good 20€ per head for two drinks and a main. Lively, traditional beer Keller vibe.
