We were headed for Hofbrauhaus and got a bit turned around in the rain, ending up at this place. I am glad we did because the food was delicious. The server didn't speak much English, but was very nice and excused our poor German. We were sat at a large table which filled up with a few other couples who were speaking German. The atmosphere was cozy. We had a couple large beers and some different sausages and kraut (two meals for under $25. We didn't even get a funny look when asking for a to-go container : Great place to eat!
I went with business group of English, Americans, Australian and Canadian for dinner after a long and hard day's work. It is by a very old church in the historic heart of Munich, next to the main shopping streets so very good to stretch your legs on an interesting stroll before dinner. They have all the true Bavarian ingredients: local beer, pretzels, sausages, lots of other meat. But people who prefer their home cuisine were catered for even a vegan. The waiter, with limited English, was an excellent communicator and kept us all happy. There was a suitably lively atmosphere without prohibiting conversation. We had to go up a lot of stairs to the room where our table was reserved, and I think we had to go down even more to get to the toilets. If I had to go to Munich again, I'd definitely return. One final point. If I remember correctly, the name on the restaurant isn't Morawek Mencner, and we recognised it by the photo, not the name.
Muito bom restaurante. Especializado em culinária alemã. Tem uma cerveja maravilhosa (aliás, isso não é novidade na Alemanha). Tem mesas internas e externas. O atendimento é eficiente e garçons cordiais. Menu bem variado. Ótimo para almoço e jantar. Paga-se bom preço. Fica do lado da catedral de Munique.
