Grouchy Chef - Mukilteo

Worst experience I've ever had. Tables are covered in plastic like an old person's couch. Service is bossy, rude and pompous. Food was decent, just not worth the hassle that comes with dining there. This man has no business being in the service industry. I think he's selling. I hope someone that enjoys cooking can take over. Such a shame to see so much ego unchecked Food: 3

Quite an experience indeed, and we had to come see it for ourselves. The entree was for sure a great value, the steak was one of the best I've had and one of the lowest prices I've paid. The grouchy chef definitely lives up to his reputation though, we researched the rules and still got lectured for small things like putting the water glass at the wrong place. Hidden gem! Chef Masumoto, a one-man show, is guaranteed to impress. Despite being a picky eater, I thoroughly enjoyed all four courses on both of my visits. The price is surprisingly reasonable. The soups are particularly unforgettable. It's a shame that this place is closing soon, so make sure to visit while you still can! Chef Masumoto may seem intimidating initially, but he is actually very friendly and enthusiastic when discussing his culinary skills. The service is top-notch for dining in.
