Dragon Bowl - Munster

The restaurant offers no dine-in service, not even a chair for customers waiting for their food. With not many recent reviews, it's difficult to gauge what to expect from this place, but my craving for pad thai led me to try the lunch special. Unfortunately, what I received was far from pad thai. It seemed like someone had heard of pad thai but mixed it with sweet and sour sauce instead. To be honest, this soggy combination of rice noodles, basil, zucchini, red pepper, and bean sprouts was just passable. It might work as a sweet stir fry for some, but it definitely wasn't pad thai. The lunch special also included chopped iceberg lettuce with what I could only describe as watered-down Russian dressing. Given the overall appearance of the place and the low number of lunch orders, I don't think I'll be returning to try anything else, and I certainly won't be missing the sushi.

The food is excellent, but the service and attitude when picking up the food leave much to be desired. The staff is never friendly! You also have to pay extra for additional soy sauce and other condiments. It seems things changed after COVID.

When the owner came over and asked what the issue was, I explained and even showed him a video I had recorded. To my shock, he told me to "get my money and don't come back here," and he literally threw the money at me. I was taken aback, especially since I eat there every week. The dismissive treatment I received as a regular customer is truly unacceptable. I will definitely not be ordering from here again—I have never experienced anything like this before.

If I could give this place no stars I would! The absolute WORST Chinese food I have had in a long time ! Please PLEASE J's Peapod open soon again ! Because there will not be any more trying anything again from anywhere!! The egg rolls are dry and no flavor...lack of rice ...not even a decent portion ...the Mongolian Beef was missing peppers and mushrooms and other various vegetables that a normal MB has in it ...the only thing that was possibly edible was the Orange Chicken! Most disgusting Chinese food sooooo disappointed!!

What we all eat is tasty My daughter loves sushi. Turned on family and friends to ordering. Some parts of Hammond they do delivery.
