The Water's Edge Wine Bar and Grill

Four couples had dinner together, right at the water's edge. Service was excellent! Friendly staff and prompt but not pushy. Appetizers were delicious, Shrimp tempura and vegetable spring rolls. Caesar salad was crisp and not too much dressing. All enjoyed their meals, prosciutto pizza, patio burgers, seafood linguini and chicken bow tie pasta. No dessert was tried. Loved the view. Relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend the food!

Service was always a bit suspect but now the food is a bit more hit and miss. Too bad. I used to really like this place. Location is still great but they have lost their way a bit I'm afraid.

We recently visited visited Waters Edge at The Lake Joseph Club to for a special birthday celebration, and were incredibly disappointed by both the food and the service. The restaurant was very busy…full of families celebrating similar special events…and also full of poorly behaved children that were running all over the place, which was very distracting and took away from the ‘fine dining’ atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was initially attentive, with our food and drink orders placed quickly, and the server confirming that we were there for a special birthday celebration, but seemed to go downhill from there. The server forgot to bring bread to our table, and left our drinks empty. When two people in our party complained about the flavor and consistency of the ahi tuna she simply shrugged and said the shipment varies daily. When we ordered desert there was no special attention given to the fact that we were celebrating a birthday…a simple candle would have gone a long way. The food here is way overpriced, and the service seriously lacking. After fifteen years of visiting The Lake Joseph Club, our family decided this would be the last.

Had dinner with friends at Water's Edge on July 9. Sat outside on the deck watching boats go by on Lake Joseph and had a very very good meal. All four of us remarked on the quality and excellent flavours presented in our meals. The executive chef took the time to visit our table and ask about our dining experience. I would highly recommend this location for your next Muskoka dinner out!

At Lake Joe club at the waters edge restaurant for lunch. Food was very good updated menu. The cocktail menu needs attention..although the menu says hand crafted cocktails...bar lime mix is not fresh lime juice! What does it take to use fresh ingredients for cocktails. Apps were great especially the lettuce wrap with beef tenderloin. Service is great .very friendly and they care about your enjoyment of the meal. Will be back and hopefully they will up their game on the cocktails.
