Honua's Coffee House - Naalehu

Even though this restaurant is not entirely vegan, it's great that they offer vegan options. The staff is very accommodating and willing to make drinks vegan upon request. They also frequently have clearly labeled vegan baked goods available.

The lemon bar was delicious and the smoothie (superfruit with guava nectar) was amazing. The vibe of the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. I wish there were more options for vegan food though, only one sandwich with tempeh was available.

I arrived early during a trip to Volcano, but unfortunately they did not have any vegan pastries available that day (they didn't even have any in stock). While I'm sure their smoothies and coffee are good, I wanted to caution anyone looking for vegan options.
