If you wish to have a refreshing weekend trip to the mountains with your loved ones, Shivaya is the place where you should go. I went to Shivaya with a bunch of my friends and I was taken away by the amazing view, very well maintained property that gives you vintage vibes throughout, very cozy rooms from where you can enjoy stargazing while ensuring comfort. The food is amazing but what's better is the hospitality and humbleness of the staff. I was very happy to see so many unique plants that were well taken care of and maintained in the property. The evenings are lit and you can enjoy the beautiful view of Almora while spending some alone time. Life in the mountains is tough. From electricity till water, only the locals know the pain of managing everything. While people expect city like facilities even in remote locations, we all need to understand that the beauty of mountains is in enjoying things the way they are and appreciating efforts when it comes to comfort. It's all about empathy at the end of the day and Shivaya is doing a great job of offering comfort in every way possible. No to forget, they have very cute and friendly dogs who'll keep you entertained. So just book your stay and enjoy at Shivaya!

The best homestay and home away home. The rooms are well decorated and having the facilities. The rooms are having glass roof, which gives amazing view of stars in the night. Words can't define the beauty of rooms and the view it provide. You must visit to experience it. The staff is really good and the food is super amazing. The brownie with ice-cream is must try desert after dinner. You can enjoy the amazing view of mountain range during day and night. The place provide you peace which you may not get in city. If you are looking for peaceful stay in mountain with green vegetation all around. Shivaya since 1953 is the place you must visit.
