L'Assise - Nantes

Breakfast was included in my room rate and the breakfasts served here are certainly complete. Although there is no visible omelette station, you can order eggs in any form you want from one of the service staff who will then bring it to you table. I enjoyed breakfast here every day for a week. However, I thought my dinner in this restaurant was a little less satisfactory. Perhaps it was just the night that I was there.

We (3, in 3 rooms) stayed at this hotel for multiple days and had all breakfasts and a couple dinners in this hotel. The breakfast buffet was ample, with quality options, hot and cold. Plus great coffee. Dinner, ordered from the menu, was really good, with attentive service. The room, a former courtroom, is lovely.

Breakfast, included in our rate, is served in this location and featured everything you could want from eggs and pastries to cereals and fruit, with delicious coffees and juices to wash it down. It's wonderful to dine in such a lovely room!

Save for convenience I normally avoid hotel based restaurants. This is one not to avoid but to seek out. The hotel is a converted mid-19th century court house and the restaurant is in what was a courtroom. A very engaging menu with diverse choices. My companion and I had virtually the same meal and shared a great wine. Seek it out even if you are not staying at the hotel
