Absolutely ridiculous rate this would be a $120/night motel room anywhere else in the US. The rooms were newly renovated but there was grit on the floor and the very noisy air conditioning unit leaked onto the floor. Breakfast was awful, they didn’t even serve hot coffee.
If you’d like to experience going to prison come here. No amenities not even a vending machine. For 700$ a night it wouldn’t be hard to get a vending machine at the hotel to charge us 5$ for bottled sewage water and a slim Jim that was directly vended out of Jim’s brown eye. This is actually the perfect place to come if you want to fall face first into your bed once you walk thru the door then roll over onto the toilet and fall face first into the shower. Better bring an MRE or two if you are staying here because the only thing to eat here is the drywall or the poisonous plants outside. Nantucket is the land of the libs and the home of the people that weren’t privileged enough to be suicided by the Clintons and Obamas.
Loved our stay! The rooms are super clean and recently updated to a very modern/beach vibe. Few suggestions: they add a nice large area rug to surround the bed, and a larger dresser under television as there’s not enough storage for clothing. And best to have refillable shampoo/soap bottles to be installed in shower to reduce the amount of single use plastic in those tiny bottles. They are still in the middle of renovations so it could add be happening very soon. We loved the inn itself and all its staff. It is located near the airport so a bit ways away from center of town, which we preferred. We will definitely stay again!
This was our first stay at the Nantucket Inn. Plenty of parking. Check in area is utilitarian. they have welcome cookies so that is fun!. The check in staff members were great. Answered my questions about their complimentary shuttle into town. It goes every hour in the hour to the Nantucket visitor center and returns at quarter past the hour, departing from the visitor center. This was helpful! They can also store your bags if needed. beyond the lobby is a beautiful area where you can sit and relax or drink your complimentary morning coffee pastry/muffin. Right off the lobby is a hallway to the indoor pool and hot tub. For those that like details, pool was heated so it’s not “cold” but also not warm. Hot tub was just under 100 degrees according to the thermometer. They provide towels in the pool area and poolside loungers were very nice with thick cushions. Our room was very clean. Zero complaints. This is advertised as a mid range hotel so as such the rooms are not fancy. But the oversized king room we booked had adequate room. 2 armchairs and a desk with rolling chair. There is also a second sink outside the bathroom a mini fridge. If we stay again I will request a room/building closer to the main building. We were several buildings back and as a parent solo with a young child I wish we were closer when walking around at night since it was off season and not a lot of activity. The cottages also looked great! Between buildings are courtyards with comfortable outdoor furniture where you can sit and relax. Of note we were in the second floor. The floors are old and every step we took made for a lot of squeaking. Enough that when someone rose to use the bathroom at night I was awakened so I would guess the room below could hear it too. Hotel is directly across from the airport which is convenient if you arrive by plane, but also good if you need to catch a cab. The island bus service NRTA “the wave” also has a stop just up the road and the schedule is easy to follow. We took the bus over to Sconset and did part of the bluff walk and strolled the beach. Just past the airport on the corner is a small gas station with a store that has lots of food and snacks items to get you through in a pinch (no beer or wine). I have to thank Noelle for making our stay very welcoming. She was the last person we saw at the end of the night and the first I saw in the morning when I went to the lobby for a muffin. If we do another on island overnighter I would book here again. I will be adding video to my instagram kristens_on_vacation
My company held our conference at this resort in September. I was amazingly surprised by my experience. The resort itself is beautiful, quaint, and peaceful. A great place to relax and get away from your day to day life. The resort has shuttle services that allow you to visit all Nantucket has to offer. I would love to return and explore more of the island. Will plan another visit and bring my family. The team is really what my the experience exceptional. They were all welcoming, accommodating, efficient and helpful. Thank you Fisher, Norris, Dewitt, Alistair, and Lisa. You all made this experience a memorable one.
