The Gradon - Neath Port Talbot

The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The beef dinner was very tasty and the biscoff sundae was delicious. Although slightly expensive, the overall experience was enjoyable with good food and service.

While on holiday, we dined at the Gradon restaurant two nights in a row. The service was exceptional, especially from Nicola who was attentive to every detail. The food was delicious and diverse, with a 'Meal and a Drink' option offering great value at around £14-15, making the meal cost less than £10! The steak and ale pie was tasty and the chicken curry was wonderful. They have a great selection of drinks, including the full range of Thatcher's cider on tap. The desserts were fantastic, with a variety of sponges served with either custard or ice cream. On our first night, we enjoyed two large wines, two pints, two main courses, and two desserts for under £25 per person. This was exceptional value for the quality we received. If you're in the area, don't miss out on dining at this restaurant.

We booked this place for a family birthday Sunday lunch after looking at their website. We booked over the phone for 11 of us and travelled the 16 miles from Swansea. When the waitress handed us the menus we were shocked to see that the prices had jumped from the website prices of 12.95 to £17.95 per adult and from £7.95 to 9.95 per child. £5 increase for adults and £2 for children. When we asked the manager she said that the website prices were old old prices. We told her that we weren 't told this when we phoned to make the booking, her reply was 'we don 't tell people '. After explaining how far we had travelled and that we couldn 't afford those prices she said she would take £2 off each adult. We simply couldn 't afford to pay what they were asking and left. Very disappointed by their false advertising, be aware before you book this place.

The dinners were fantastic, with large Yorkshire puddings, perfectly cooked roast potatoes, and flavorful gravy poured straight from the serving plate. The meat was tender and tasty. The vegetable selection was plentiful for two people, and there was even a gravy boat on the table. The young staff, consisting of three people, were very attentive and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. They were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere at The Gradon was relaxed and not rushed, which was perfect for us. If you're looking for a calm and laid-back dining experience, this is the place for you. I can't wait to come back and try the regular menu. I felt well taken care of and the food was high quality.

Brilliant value for money great food and the girls service hot plates absolutely first class met the owner who is also the chef good man we will be back!!!!!
