The Vic Public House - Nelson

Good Asian fusion. Zesty flavours. Menu isn’t marked with GF, you have to ask, which is a bit annoying. Mostly good experiences here, but one bad one when waitress was super knowledgeable but forgot to mark our order GF (super busy night, just distracted) so 2 non GF dishes arrived. Easily identified but took a while to replace bc so busy. Now feel the need to be hyper vigilant here. Will go back but triple check.

Nice airy pub with good Guinness which is a great start. There's a range of DB beers (labelled Mac's but the real Mac's is back in Nelson) too. Decent offerings of food, poutine, burgers and fish and chips and on a Wednesday night quick service. Interesting tables with different length legs to match the floor steps.

What a great pub/eatery they have established here. It some how has that old school pub feel, with a great restaurant/ eatery to boot. The food is excellent, well priced and fresh! The staff are fantastic, helpful and chatty. Loved our visit here and will absolutely be back.

Without a doubt the best service we had on our trip through Newzeeland. Our bartender/waiter Blake did a fantastic job. Great food. Good beer. We stayed here twice during our two nights in Nelson.

Besides the amazing drinks and atmosphere, these guys offer excellent customer service. I wanted a beer and the amazing bartender custom made a brandy-hot lemon tea for my partner who had a sore throat. (It wasn't even on the menu! They were also so courteous throughout the evening.
