Delicious food, great service and very reasonable prices. We'll definitely make this a regular dinner spot for us.

Very helpful gentleman helped me to put together a takeout order for a family dinner. Food was wonderful and service excellent!

Monday night in Nelson and our two dinner choices are not open on Mondays. Found the Tandoori on Kootenay Street at the corner with Josephine Street. Patio on Kootenay and inside down a few stairs. Sat inside as there was a chance of rain. Warm welcome and interior, mostly booth seating inside. Good selection of dishes on the menu including our favourites. Chose Vegetable Pakoras to start. Lots served with a sweet tamarind sauce and spicy green pesto. The pakoras were excellent. For mains we had Eggplant Bhartha - the best one we have had since Mughal shut the doors on Vancouver’s Main Street 17 years ago. Second dish was Butter Chicken, not our most favourite version but enjoyable with lots of tender chicken. Also had a big plate of Basmati rice plus two pieces each (one order) of really good freshly made Garlic Naan. We were very pleased we happened upon the Tandoori Indian Grill. The place opened about 2 months ago and is the second location for the owners who have Cuisine of India in Castlegar BC. Excellent food, big portions, reasonable pricing, a good addition to dining in Nelson.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be returning to try out more of their extensive menu. Being able to choose your own 'spiciness' level was a big plus for us as we all do not like the same level of hotness.

I went for lunch today with my husband and I can't tell you how excited we are to have this high level of Indian food now in our town! A must go-to establishment!! The food is amazing!!!
