The Wheelhouse Event Center

This place in Nevada City is truly fantastic. They strongly support the local mountain biking community and also offer a delicious menu! If you're in the area, it's definitely a must-visit. Grab a beer, enjoy some tasty food, and take advantage of the outdoor seating!

Let's talk about the tater tots! No matter where you've been, what you’ve tried, or who your grandma is, these tots are the best! They’re extra crispy on the outside while remaining soft in the center. At just $4, I thought I might not be able to finish them—but after tasting the first one, I couldn't stop! The Wheel House burger was fantastic, and every IPA and double IPA I sampled was top-notch! The atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, along with the staff, was outstanding! I’m here for work, but this place will be a highlight of my travels for years to come! I can't wait to try their pizzas when they’re available!

The burgers are delicious, with freshly baked bread and buns, and there's a great selection of craft beers along with tasty appetizers. I highly recommend trying the Bleu Tent burger. The outdoor area is charming and ideal for a family outing. We'll definitely be returning!

Must have hit them at a bad time. We were the first customers on a Sunday at noon. Ordered burgers medium and fries and then had to wait more than a half hour for our food. Burgers were well done, dry and almost no barbecue sauce. The bacon was over cooked as well. The buns were dry as well. The beer fries taste like canned nacho sauce with a little beer thrown in. The beer was good though and the staff is courteous and helpful. They could use some help at their point of sale to help speed things up.

Stopped in to grab and sandwich on our long drive to Chico. Very cool atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Nice grassy courtyard in the back to hang out if you have time. I had the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich. Literally one the BEST sandwiches I have had. We're heading back through the area next week and I plan on grabbing another sandwich. Bread is awesome!
