Old school pioneer vibe with tons of options. Service is very friendly. I had on over cooked burger which was a bummer. Good size portions and before I stick with the tree stars we'll come back for some other options. It's very convenient for me so long as old 40 is open. I'd like to support them so I'll be back.
Great little ski lodge with affordable food, prices and drinks! We went during the summer to go play some disc golf and stayed for a couple beers. Make sure you try the homemade pie! This is a fun place to visit because chances are you’ll run into hikers on the Pacific crest Trail? It’s fun to talk to them about their journey. The staff was great. Service: Dine in
Come on, you're sitting in iconic joint enjoying a delicious meal, with a drink of your choice, looking out at the beautiful Sierra mountains, what a simple and relaxing place to be at. This is a place for the hikers, bikers, workers, the commoner, and anyone else who wants to relax and enjoy life. It's old and rough on the edges but that's part of its charm and lure. Stop in and I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's worth a visit. I'm working in Truckee from Sacramento area and stop here when I get chance because it's a place like home that you want to get back to. Vegetarian options: I know the sweet potatoes fries are excellent. I'm sure they have salads and veggie burgers too but never ordered them Parking: It's a big open lot with faded stripes so park it and start a parking line and others will join you ; Kid-friendliness: There's a big deck outside and plenty of running areas below.
A nice dog friendly spot to stop for lunch in summer if you happen to be in the area. The two salads we got were good. The Korean chicken salad was pretty spicy, but tasty. This spot also seems like a stopping point for PCT hikers and has a disc golf course (no charge for golf) Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
