Circa 1810 - New Bern

Amazing customer service. The new owners are so gracious and nice. The food. Wow! We had to start the cheese frits. The cheese was not the normal Cheddar from cheap cheese. It was fresh, smooth and delicious. The candied bacon and aioli is a beautiful touch. Next we had the Cheeseburger. Fresh rolls. They're making them right in the kitchen. That's fresh. You can taste the difference. The rolls had the right amount of wood on the outer edges to add this small piece of texture and taste. The burger was thick over one inch and still perfectly cooked. The pommes were spiced and had a little dough. We sat outside and our food was served hot. Perfect. The dessert menu is beautiful. I'm going back to dessert tonight, because it looks good and it's all done in Harvey Mansion. We met the owners amd they have such a vision for their restaurant. Don't miss. Go now. Go to your car and go. You won't regret it.

Great meal. Chicken Saltimbocca was great, so my wife's aubergines lasagna. My father in law and Niece both enjoyed the salmon very much.

Historical. Unusual selection of dishes for the area. Great taste. Interesting atmosphere. Costs for the amount of food. Beef Wellington wasn't traditional. Accompanying pastries have left much to wish. Pig chops were extremely good.
