Unfortunately, the dish only had five small pieces of shrimp. It seemed like they were skimping on ingredients to save money. Overall, the meal was not worth the price and left me disappointed in their approach to maximizing profits.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the server informed us that they were understaffed and assured us that they would provide us with as much attention as possible. With only 4 other parties in the restaurant, we weren't too concerned initially. However, we became worried when the server didn't write down our order or ask important questions about sides and salad dressing preferences (I had to request my preference when the salad was served). The server seemed disorganized. Our food arrived, but one order was incorrect. The server offered to fix it and discount the meal. Upon completion of our meal, the corrected order arrived, but it still wasn't what was ordered. To our surprise, the bill showed a discount for the original meal, but an additional charge was added for the incorrect item that was brought as a replacement, resulting in a higher total cost than if the meal had been prepared correctly. We raised our concerns, but the restaurant insisted on the charges, forcing us to pay for items we didn't originally order. Despite this issue, we did enjoy the delicious food that we patiently waited for.
Triple play is a one-of-a-kind spot! All three restaurants are connected and owned by the same person, but each has its own unique atmosphere. One is more like a sports bar, another is more of a traditional restaurant, and the third is a brewery. It doesn't really matter which one you choose because you can order from any menu. The middle restaurant has a cool focus on fish tanks and even has a fish tank bar, which is really neat. The food is delicious and the location is convenient, right in the heart of downtown and not too far from the Riverwalk and park. Definitely make sure to check it out.
Food was bland except for the gator bites. I ordered grilled red snapper but it came totally baked! Also the prices on my bill was higher than what was on the menu. Atmosphere was ok. I gave 3 stars because my server (Lakie) did a good job and didn't show frustration or stress even though she had alot of tables to handle alone. She did her best and that was good enough for us.
Really liked the atmosphere. The bar is an aquarium, which was really cool. The server was friendly. The crab dip was good, and the lobster Mac n Cheese.
