Thistle - New Glasgow

A small little pub tucked away from the main road but definitely a hidden gem! The food is delicious, the wings were crispy and the burgers were juicy.

The relationship I have with The Thistle is longer than many of my friendships, and certainly more so than those in my love life.

Great little pub with a friendly owner and great staff Good food with big serving sizes at very reasonable prices.

I went to The Thistle on a Saturday for supper with my family. I havent been there in years. The front staff were friendly, acknowledge our presence and had us seated at a table in no time. Our waitress was excellent!! She had our drinks...and order in quickly!! And what can I say about the food...it was Amazing!! Im glad I went back to a place I havent been in years..I wasnt disappointed!!

I went to the Thistle with my friends and I was waiting outside for my friends and due to the social distancing rules, I decided to wait outside the foyer because there was already a couple inside the foyer. Then girls ended up going...in front of me because I was uncomfortable being so close to others in the foyer. When I explained that I was there first to the server, she was EXTREMELY IGNORANT to me for absolutely no reason at all and told me that since I didn’t go inside and tell her I was waiting and I was just standing outside, she didn’t even want to listen to me. THEN I went outside back into the foyer, and then to hear that she went out back and told all of her workers that I was “shooting off” and they were all laughing and saying disrespectful things about me in the kitchen. I could actually hear them laughing and saying things about me in the kitchen so I just ended up leaving because I have NEVER experienced such disrespect from a server in my LIFE. All because of a QUESTION I asked. I have never encountered such poor customer service ever, and I will not be coming back.
