I have some constructive critique at the non-falafel courts, which, contrary to the blanching and "less chewable" some more cook the calf, cauliflower and Brussels spiders can allow their aromen to make more impact; it felt like we were eating them raw at moments
Delicious and wonderfully spiced falafel sandwich, roasted pickled cauliflower, and roasted brussel sprouts. Paired with Among the Bugs by Zony Mash, it was a perfect combo! The restaurant was kind enough to let us order and take out 20 minutes before they closed. Sitting out in the park under the moonlight was pretty sweet. Not quite the same flavor as Mamoud's Falafel (y'all NYCers know what I mean but certainly yummy!
Small space located at a corner confluence of several restaurants. Despite being rather full, the restaurant wasn’t loud or claustrophobic at all. I’d wanted to go here for the past couple years; finally made it.Ordered the ‘All the Dips’ and the roasted cauliflower. The food was pretty decent. The platter featured perfectly flavored baba ghanouj, tasty hummus with garlic aioli, whipped feta, crudite, and a basket of bread that was like manna from heaven. Other than the bread and baba ghanouj, everything else was Goldilocks not too good, not too bad. Everything was fresh credit where credit’s due.But the service or lack thereof was so offputting. I won’t go into details. It really doesn’t matter. However, the diners on either side of me spent most of their meals complaining about the horrendous service, too.If you want fresh, slightly above average vegetarian food while being treated like a 4th class human being, go here. Else, many other places have superior food and service.
I’m always looking for great traditional and vegan menus to take friends when they are in town. 10000 Figs is a great place, in a cute spot, with delicious food! It is also close to City Park and it’s easy to get food to go for a picnic.
Delicious, small restaurant. Highly recommend the falafel sandwich! We also enjoyed the chicken plate (even my very picky kids ate everything and while we did take the food to go, they provided everything we’d need for our meals.
