Diamond Street Grill - New Orleans

Diamond is a casual neighborhood spot that I’d rate at 3.5 stars, but I decided to give them 4. The deep-fried artichokes appetizer, BBQ shrimp (that sauce is amazing!), and the fried chicken po-boy all surpassed my expectations. Even the house salads were impressive, loaded with kale, mixed greens, and other fresh vegetables.

My boyfriend and I dined here the night before our vacation. I ordered the ribeye for $18, while he had the club sandwich with fries for $10. We shared both dishes, and they were both fantastic. We arrived early for dinner at 5:15, so there was no wait at all. The service was quick, especially given the size of the restaurant and the fact that there were about eight other customers. There's no doubt we could have had the same meal at our hotel, but it would have cost us at least twice as much. The ribeye was certainly large enough to serve two people easily.

Fantastic discovery. I found this place near my hotel while on conference. I am a big foodie and i am very very picky about quality and sevice. This place is a gem! The food was superb in every respect and the chef uses many local organic ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the portions generous, but not overly so. Perfect rare beef. The service was very professional and staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place and plan to return later this week and when i return on vacation. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable.

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I had never been to Meson 923 before, but the new menu is amazing. The scallops were the best I ever had, and they have a daily pork special that varies depending on what's available. The fried green beans make an excellent side to share. The desserts, including chocolate bread pudding and a wonderful cheesecake, were perfect. The cocktail list has some refreshing variety, and all the ones we tried were delicious. There's an upstairs and downstairs with the downstairs more lounge-y and the upstairs a more classic dining experience. Great atmosphere; we will definitely be going back.

Under new management. Place has a great menu and offers very attentive service. I absolutely recommend this place if going to dinner on a Friday night. Perfect location. Cocktail menu is perfect and the bartender is very skilled. Be sure to try the fried green tomatos and the ribeye. Do not pass this place up it is a great dining experience
