I was disappointed with the fish dish at the restaurant. My sister-in-law and I both ordered the blackened drum, but hers was undercooked and lacked the proper fish texture, while mine was cooked but still didn't have the right consistency. Both dishes required cutting with a knife. We informed our waiter, who apologized and offered to take it back, but she declined because she was full and felt uncomfortable returning food—it’s hard to know what you might get back in return. Later, the maitre d’ stopped by to offer his apologies, which was appreciated, but no one offered to comp the meal or suggest a dessert or drink as compensation. On a positive note, the appetizers, drinks, and desserts were all quite good, and the wait service was attentive.
There was an rude server, but casey, carley and robert have taken care of it. tomato and oyster salad was good, but not as great as last time. unfortunately dtb moves from open table to tock
We had an incredible experience at dtb. the food and the service were second place. we highly recommend.
Got the gumbo to share and the rice was undercooked- stuck in our teeth. I got the braised short rib and there was a bit more fat than I expected and just a clump of undercooked rice on the side. No way it should’ve been a $32 entree. My wife got the crawfish Bolognese and her pasta was a bit undercooked as well. We like al dente, but this could’ve used at least another minute or 2. We are in no way food snobs, but for what the dishes costed, we expected better
