Empanola - New Orleans

Good location for when shopping on Magazine. The empanadas are great! Not greasy or overwhelming. They have some unique choices. The shop is clean with many places to site. A must try.

12/4/2021 Recommend? Yes. It's a cute little spot with some seating. Great selection of empanadas featuring local flavors. I got the two vegan flavors that they had; the yellow curry and the impossible. It's served with sauces, the two vegan ones are hot sauce and chimichurri. I liked the impossible better than the curry. The crust is a bit soft, not flaky. The impossible had a deep flavor, it may be too salty for some people. The yellow curry was actually really good andwould go really well with a bowl of rice. If I'm shopping in the area I would definitely stop for a little snack.

Tiny little place with welcoming atmosphere. Loved the lunch special. Fresh and tasty and just the right amount. The Spinach and Artichoke empanada was delicious. The salad had so many flavors! Loved it. The tomato soup was rich and textured. Another fav!! The Bananas Foster dessert empanada was new and I really really liked it. I thought the stamp on each empanada telling me what it was was so cool.

New Year and finally trying something different. got three different fillings , all were excellent. The hangry was a perfect amount for dinner. Only suggestion would be to protect the edge with foil like a pie crust to keep them from getting overdone. The edges on mine 2 were hard to bite into without squeezing filling out. one was perfect. Will definitely try Empanola. Want to try some other flavors.

I received my order quickly. Food was warm upon arrival. Everything was delicious! First time trying empanola and I was very impressed!
