I don’t recall visiting this restaurant, and I can’t quite remember what I ordered either. However, looking at these pictures has me thinking about my next trip to New Orleans and my desire to dine here again! That pulled pork sandwich with horseradish cream sauce looks absolutely incredible. Now that I see it, I do remember how delicious it was. I can't wait to go back!
The hot honey chicken is where it’s at. Absolutely incredible and that’s with the coleslaw and the aioli taken off. (I then put the aioli on and it made it just as good too). The fries leave nothing to be desired UNTIL you had that brisket chili on top, then the fries went from meh to MINE. The pulled pork was ok and got a little bit better once I added a bunch of bbq and sriracha aioli to it. (I’ve yet to find a pulled pork sandwich that’s truly impressed me). Last and certainly least, was the max and cheese. The presentation was great but I wasn’t impressed by it at all. DEFINITELY COME HERE AND GET THAT HOT HONEY CHICKEN SANDWICH THOUGH.Parking: Huge parking lot
This is the third time in a month I've been at Frey smoked meat's. They gave me a free sandwich which got me through the front door then I came back and had another sandwich and now I'm back having another sandwich for the third time in a month. The stuff is delicious fresh and addictive. Very relaxed atmosphere good bar lots of TVs to watch nice small dining room lot of wood what can you expect? Give it a try you'll like it.
The Brussels sprouts are following the trend of crispy, sweet-glazed dishes, but the execution fell short; they were a bit mushy. On a positive note, the cornbread was delicious, especially with the honey butter, although it was quite crumbly. Service was a highlight, as my server was attentive, friendly, and professional. There was also a host present, which was a nice touch. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant had plenty of seating for lunch, with effective air conditioning. It was clean, had a pleasant smell, and decent background music, plus they offered free WiFi. Other notes: the BBQ sauce was quite good. The meat plate included just two pickles, onion slices, and one piece of dry white bread. The pickles were the typical Sysco variety, and the onions were raw and pretty standard. Overall, it's a solid neighborhood BBQ joint, but I wouldn’t make a special trip just to dine here.
