Ikura Hibachi And Sushi - New Orleans

The food was delicious, but the wait time was unbearable! Upon our arrival, we were informed that our family of 5 would have to wait 30 minutes. However, this turned into over an hour. The waiting area was crowded, yet the bar area was empty. It would have been more efficient if they had invited waiting guests to sit at the bar. It wasn't until the final 15 minutes of our wait that they offered us seats at the bar. Overall, they need to improve their customer service to match the quality of their food.

The food was delicious! The right amount of garlic and butter, unlike other hibachi restaurants. Unfortunately, our cook did not provide any entertainment during our meal. The cook at the next table was engaging with their guests, which made our experience a bit awkward.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and will definitely return. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I ordered the tempura lunch and the vegetables were of high quality. I also tried three different rolls since it was my first time there. The chocolate roll with seared tuna was a unique and tasty choice. I also ordered the snow crab and yellowtail/scallion rolls to compare with other restaurants I enjoy. Overall, the rolls were good, but there was a mistake in my order and the scallions were missing. Despite that, I had a great experience overall.

Great staff, got seated fairly quickly, the sashimi was good but the sushi has an excessive amount of rice. Definitely not recommended for people looking to eat sushi.

This is a review of the Sushi side of the business, I didn 't have any hibachi/teppanyaki, but there was a line of people waiting for it, so it must have been good. So this place offers AYCE sushi, but you have to ask for it. (You can also get soups, salads, tempura, even noodles with the deal) Sushi was quite good and while a lot of places that offer AYCE sushi skimp on the fish and go heavy on the rice, that 's not the case here- the nigiri were well portioned, and the makiwere as well. I even ordered some sashimi and was surprised to find that instead of giving me a nigiri-sized slice, I got a proper thick slice. I liked everything I ordered, and the only surprise I got was that the tuna toll was not atekka roll, but an urumaki filled with tuna. Not what I expected, but still quite tasty. In fact, the only complaint I really could lodge at all is that *I* overindulged, and left the restaurant more full that I really should have. Butthat 's not their fault, it 's mine. Well maybe it is party theirs, because the food was *so* delicious. TL; DR- 10/10 would reccomend.
