My date got the mushroom glass noodle with vegetarian broth which could have used a tiny bit more spice but that?sprobably what you?re expecting when you get vegetarian glass mushroom soup. Overall worth it and worthy of repeat business.
I love jazmine! I love the avocado reisnudel bowl and the spring roll noodle bowl! Make sure to ask for peanut sauce with it or get fish sauce. haussalat is vegan, but the mistkerle is not. huge portions in the nutshells!
Great little place...good healthy choices for Vegans, Vegetarians, Pescetarians, or meat eaters. Awesome Spring Roll Bar...great noodle choices, hot pots, salads, bubble tea, and a bar. A little more expensive than lead to believe..a cheap meal with a drink is about $12.95. 3 of us had a nice meal, 2 beers, a lemonade $55.95 before tip. But I agree it was well worth it.
WARNING! It has come to my attention that the owners erroneously believe that fish sauce is acceptable in vegetarian diets (but not for vegan diets, oddly enough) such that menu items listed as vegetarian e.g. the vegetarian sweet heat noodles, vegetarian po boy, etc. contain fish sauce. The tofu avocado noodle bowl, peanut sauce, mushroom glass noodle soup, vegetarian pho, veggie fresh rolls, and house salad all remain vegan. Please help make it clear to the owners that if a menu item is listed as vegetarian it cannot contain fish sauce. And be sure that if you order something listed as vegetarian that you specify no fish sauce and they will gladly comply. Otherwise: Lunch menu is inexpensive while dinner entrees ring in around 10 bucks. The food is tasty, the service is good. They also do bubble teas (dairy)and some specialty teas that don 't involve dairy. The owners are knowledgeable about the vegan diet and staff seem happy to direct you to animal free foods. The tofu avocado bowl is addicting. Updated from previous review on Thursday March 24, 2011
We never eat Vietnamese before so we can not compare this restaurant to other Vietnamic restaurant. We do eat a lot of Thai en Indian food and we love that! I ordered a dish with noodles and sweetsoure sauce. It was delicious but only filled with 8 small pieces of vegetables and a lot of noodles! I need more vegetables! or as we say it in holland: Karig !.. And the dish wasn't cheap at all: like 12 dollar and at Escalator Cafe at metairie new orleans you will have a lot more food thats even better!
