Tucked behind the beautiful old building is a lovely courtyard and the entrance to a beautiful bar area and more tables. Maddie and Vince took excellent care of us, listening to what we liked and making appropriate recommendations for craft cocktails. It's an intimate atmosphere to enjoy both traditional and contemporary cocktails along with caviar (if you're into that), small plates of seasonal foodofferings and attention to details.
First time dining at jewel of the south after hearing amazing things about them. They fell nothing short of exceptional in every aspect. The service was impeccable, Madi made my boyfriend and I feel right at home. The cocktails were so refreshing, very happy with our choices. We got the French 75 and the Feast of Avalon. The food was perfect. We had the wagyu beef tongue, the pork belly, shishito peppers with bacon fat creme, cantaloupe with prosciutto and ricotta, and weended the night with an amazing malted chocolate custard. Definitely coming back to this jewel!
Very unique food and beverage spot! Excellent service. It's more of an experience than an actual dinner. Courtyard seating was lovely but very hot and the bugs were horrible in the middle of a heat wave in southern LA. I definitely knew better...Overall, I enjoyed it and would like to try again! Perhaps, chicken or steak?
Our concierge recommended this spot for delicious cocktails and we were not disappointed! This definitely felt like a local gem (no pun intended) and wish we had the time to enjoy dinner here. We ordered a few cocktails and couldn't help ordering a small plate to get a sense of the food. We tried the black pudding, which was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire time. The atmosphere was casual but romantic. There were people of all ages enjoying dinner and drinks here, some on dates, some with friends or family. Just a wonderful spot overall and we will definitely come back the next time we're in NOLA.
Came here for dinner. Was able to get reservations but only on the patio. And they won’t change them once you get there. But all the staff is immensely nice so even a no is friendly and welcoming. The drinks were delish. Small and expensive. But delish. I had sword lily and another off menu spicy margarita. Both were amazing. The menu is confusing and everything is a la carte. But the servers clarified any questions. We tried a lot of things and everything was beyond fabulous. Tartar. Brisket. Bone marrow custard. Potted beef. Zucchini. And we even tried tunworth. Although I don’t think it’s worth the price it was definitely an experience. Unfortunately we were so full there was no room for dessert. But I’d def go back here and highly recommend. Also. The menu changes frequently so if you go, don’t expect to get the same items.
