Satsuma Cafe Dauphine St - New Orleans

The Cafe has extra high ceilings and religious iconography, giving it a church-like feel when you enter. The food was good, but not quite a spiritual experience. My green breakfast sandwich had egg, avocado mix, Swiss cheese, and veggies on a bagel. It was tasty, but a bit too big to eat easily. The cheese didn't enhance the flavor. The lemonade I had was very fresh, with a strong acidic taste. It's a decent place to eat overall.

My husband and I discovered this restaurant on the last morning of our trip. It was conveniently located near our accommodation. The laid-back atmosphere allowed us to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal before heading to the airport. We both opted for the breakfast plate, one with toast and the other with a biscuit. Everything was fantastic, especially the biscuit and jam! Despite a little rain, we chose to sit outside under a large tree and relish the moment. This restaurant will definitely be on our list of stops when we return.

I have enjoyed their veggie sandwich, which comes with locally grown, in-season veggies such as eggplant and squash. I asked for the vegan pesto and vegan cheese and it was delicious, albeit expensive-around $8 or $9. It does come with a fresh, delicious side salad though and they usually have vegan soup. Plan on staying for a little while-service can be slow so be patient. Cool little cafe.

The coffee was excellent, as were the breakfast tacos. They were not oversized, making them perfect for a light meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very enjoyable.

This restaurant has a fantastic menu with plenty of vegan and non-vegan options, making it a great choice for groups with diverse dietary preferences. The food was incredibly fresh and tasty, and the staff was excellent. Overall, a wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch!
