SoBou - New Orleans

Very nice restaurant, since this is my first time in nola (I am from the chicagoland area) bare with me, as I work through my excitement to write this review. the atmosphere has been covered, relaxed and stunning. Soft, warm lighting, perfect for date night, girls out at night or if they just want to try something else. I ordered the brussels and a cucumber limonade, it was perfect! the brussel sprouts were enough for 2-3 people, so I made that my meal, then ordered dessert. the bignets were fluffy and melt in your mouth well! the peach cake was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, I would recommend everyone to try both. I would like to say our waiter name was theny, but I can't quite remember he was informatiw, funny and honest! I loved the experience when they check in nola they, no disappointments....oh wait, the mixed drinks or alcohol, the bartender is a magician! no drinks at this place!

Incredible food and atmosphere. was not sure what to expect when we are there, but it was not disappointed. get the binoets. they were some of the best in new orleans.

What a great and unique experience! we loved our waiter yasin, who was very attentive and at the top of our lowest bellinis (they were sooo good! . that was really delicious, especially my gum. I was overjoyed to get it! bella was the dancer and she did a great work that kept us. I would definitely come back!

Beautiful dinner while we were on our honeymoon. steak perfectly boiled and composed with chest sauce! the first time tried boudin and was pleasantly surprised, definitiw a cajun speciality. the reservation was simply on open table. ambiente was perfect for romantic date night.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! Absolutely loved my experience both times!! A local suggested this place so I decided to go because local suggestions are always the best anyway! I went on a Friday night for dessert and had the white chocolate and cherry jubilee bread pudding with a shot of the hooch of the day... it was Amazing! If you're a fan of bread pudding you definitely need to try this! My wife loved it even though she rarely likes sweets. While there that Friday I noticed on the menu they offered a burlesque brunch on Sunday's so I returned Sunday (today for the brunch I was totally NOT DISAPPOINTED!! The burlesque dancer was doing her thang when we arrived around 12! They offer a two course brunch and a bottomless hooch or Bellini option. I took advantage of both and did the bottomless Bellini, crab claws (for the crab lovers!! Don't pass them up!! and the Bananas Foster. I had seen photos of the sweet potato beignets on Yelp so I asked the waiter about them and the Chef came out and offered to make some up for us since they weren't on the menu and I must say they were deliciously savory and sweet!! They ended up having duck in them and we didn't know so the chef apologized (even though it was my fault I requested them not knowing they had meat in them and offered a free glass hooch! I really appreciate when the chef comes out to talk with you! He thanked us for returning to the restaurant also. Top tier service! Beautiful venue! Amazing food! Don't come to NOLA without giving this place a try! Especially for the burlesque brunch!! @bellabluenola was beautiful!! the show was awesome!! Seriously try this place!!!
