During our visit to Algiers Point, we were amazed by the beautiful French-style houses and peaceful neighborhood situated by the Mississippi River. This breakfast cafe is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike, and it's easy to see why. The cafe was bustling when we arrived, but we managed to snag some seats by the window. The aroma of freshly brewed espresso filled the air as we enjoyed our coffee, pancakes, and the Poche - eggs and andouille sausage with sauce on grits. The flavors were outstanding, especially the andouille sausage which left a lasting impression on my taste buds. Even though I had never been a fan of grits before, this dish made me a convert. The pancakes were equally delicious, light, and fluffy. The breakfast was so enjoyable that I accidentally left my car keys behind. Thankfully, the owner kept them safe for me until I returned the next morning. She even offered me chilled water to cool off from the heat. The hospitality and food at this cafe are top-notch, making it a must-visit spot in Algiers Point. I can't recommend this place enough!
The restaurant is incredibly inviting and cozy, and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the banana chocolate chip pancakes - they are the best I've ever had. If I have the chance to visit Algiers Point again, this will definitely be my first stop.
Great caffe. eating was so good that I didn't want to stop. the best grips I had for years. every dish we had was delicious. in a quiet family friendly opposite we felt welcome and appreciated. great service. they'll eat here, you'll be thanking them.
This is a must eat in caffe when they visit algiers. the best pancakes I've ever had. easy and fluffy with available sorting. the food is freshly cooked, the coffee is hot and tasty. a true jewel!
I visited nola in september 2022 before I went on a cruise. my friend and I were in a VRBO house a few blocks away. it is an amazing, local, original caffe with a large menu to choose from. the portions are huge and tasty. the art on the walls are of local artists and most of them are for sale! if they have a chance to stop and have breakfast, they will not regret it. the avocado toast was delicious! I even restored it since I came home from my trip.
