Trenasse - New Orleans

We ate on a Friday night, service was extremely fast…maybe too fast?? My wife ordered the crawfish pie entree. The crust was burned and the inside was overcooked. I ordered Stinky’s stew, and it was ok. She tried to order a strawberry margarita. They did the best they could….water, blanco tequila, and thawed out strawberries….do you can imagine what that tasted like.

Came here for a date and enjoyed the quiet cozy atmosphere. Service was great, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The oyster sampler was amazing!!

Went with family for a mother/daughter trip. The server was initially very rude. I texted a friend to tell them that they don’t split the check, so that is something she needs to consider before coming, she called to verify, and later decided not to come. The server came to our table with major attitude and I had to clarify the situation to him, that we had already ordered, how in the world could we cancel a reservation after our order had been placed. I believe he overheard my disgust in his service and his attitude, and that is when he changed. He then became very prompt, attentive, and our food started arriving quickly. The chef later came to our table and he was SUPERB! He made several trips to our table, and this made our experience much better. My filet mignon was initially overcooked, and he promptly took it away and provided another cooked to perfection. I tried to tip HIM and he refused, saying it was his job and it was a pleasure serving us. Unfortunately our initial 30 minutes were awful, the experience did get better, but not enough for us to return on our next visit.

Janet was amazing! they made our experience an extremely memorable, and thought we don't live here when we come back to visit, we will definitely ask them. eating was excellent, my steak was perfectly cooked. our favorite part was the groundless mimosas, the cherry up.

We have made two separate reservations of 5 as we had a bigger group. the staff was really friendly and sat in a room. the oysters and grits were excellent.
